Woman owned business with a passion for the amazing honeybees. The bees have taught us so much, these amazing creatures help the ecosystem, pollinate our food, provide us with food (honey) and everything from the hive is beneficial for them and us.
Researchers say the act of beekeeping may help people with mental health problems such as stress, anxiety, PTSD and depression. Many call it “beekeeping therapy.” We help mentor Veterans & First Responders in beekeeping. Beekeeping helps give them purpose after service and helps with PTSD. Research has shown that the hum of the bees can bee; Therapeutic and calming, Calms the nervous system, Relieves tension and anxiety, Helps you fall asleep quickly, relieves insomnia, and more.
We can tell you first hand they are not wrong. Just sitting and watching the bees work is calming. When you are in a hive you can get lost forgetting about problems and stressors. It is so calming watching them work and communicate with each other.
Beekeeping has built lasting connections with our community through mentoring, beekeeper experiences, talks, farm tours, and honey sales. We feel it is important to educate people about the importance of pollinators but mostly the amazing honeybee.
