Update to Guidelines: Electrical & Timers

Jun 23, 2024Derrick Clark

We've made an update to our Merchant Guidelines as it relates to Electric, Lighting & Extension Cords.

TIMERS: For those of you with electrical access in your booth space, timers are not required. However, if you choose to use a timer, please adhere to these guidelines:

  • Booth lighting controlled by timers should be set to turn ON no later than 9am each day and NOT TURN OFF before 10pm each evening.

Why? From time to time we may open early if our staff is ready and there are people on the street wanting to come in and shop. (IE: Farmers Market days) It's not a great look if your space isn't properly illuminated. Likewise, there are evenings we close later and we want to ensure proper illumination while customers are still in the building.

We encourage you to illuminate your booth spaces where it makes sense. As always, we ask that you do that responsibly and not in a way that gets us in trouble with the fire inspector.

Thank you for your attention to this matter.
